My experience with GE Appliances' warranty policy

Starting 7/8/26. I am sharing this so others know what to expect. I purchased a brand-new GE stove at the end of June, and by early July, the entire stove unit ceased functioning. After three separate repair visits and zero resolution, a fourth visit is scheduled. I called GE Customer Relations to request a replacement unit. I was explicitly told that GE™™s warranty only covers repairs, not replacements, and that there is no limit to the number of repair attempts they can require™"whether it takes 4, 6, or 8+ tries. Furthermore, even if the appliance is eventually declared unrepairable, a replacement is not guaranteed and is handled only on a "case-by-case" basis. I believe a manufacturer's warranty should guarantee a functional product, not force customers into weeks or months of endless, trial-and-error technician visits on a brand-new machine. Please keep this policy in mind if you are shopping for new appliances especially GE. I would never buy a GE product. You have been warned.

Great power in the burners - water boils in a snap! Yet, multiple burners allow for a slow simmer as well. The diveristy of options on the cooktop are so helpful when you have multiple pots going at once! So far, we've found the oven to cook evenly when roasting and broiling, but haven't had a chance to bake in it yet. Burner plates and grates clean up easily with a little baking soda and mild detergent.

This is the second time purchasing the same oven. I love it . I™™m an avid cook and this meets my every need. Great flame control with the knobs. One is able to simply simmer without burning a delicate sauce or can speedily heat to the boiling point. I moved k to an another home less than a year ago so left my first GE profile in my other home. This house I moved into had a 1 year old oven . It was not an inexpensive one but it didn™™t compare to my GE profile. The precision controls make all the difference !! I™™m thrilled to own another great GE product.

At thie point, we have had our new LPG range about two weeks. The only recommendations would be, the low/boil burner, go back to a traditional burner as opposed to a step down high/low burner. Time will allow us more operational use as we get use to the burner.

Just purchased this product and several features are disabled without a connection to wifi and using their app. I think it is disgusting that after spending this much money on an appliance GE wants to use that appliance to harvest data to sell to data brokers and turn their customers into the product. Additionally, there is a fan for ventilation that is annoyingly noisy. I am seriously considering returning this thing.

About a week into this and already some negative thoughts. First, if you think you will use the griddle - you probably won't so don't let that influence your decision. Next - you cannot use the airfry feature without connecting it to WiFi so - it is not completely functional. GE wants to have the ability to bombard you with email and marketing, and if you don't play ball, you don't get full use of what the hardware you paid for. This would have been a deal breaker if I would have known - but now you do, and you can make your decision on weather or not you agree with GE controlling your oven post-sale. I think it is straight up blackmail. Finally - You can set a timer for say an hour, but this over will not show a countdown. It will just beep when 1 hour is up. This is such a poor feature I am forced to go out an get a separate timer for this $2000 + range. Did a cook have any say in this design?

The range was installed just yesterday so I haven't really used it much. I will say it's a beautiful range that seems to be well thought out and with lots of features. HOWEVER, and the reason I'm only giving it 3 stars is that, it doesn't come with an owners manual. It does come with a Quick Start Guide that has 3 1/2 pages of warnings, 1 page for warranty information and only 3 pages of actual and very basic instructions. Yes, it is available online but what do people without a computer and printer use? A phone with a 4 inch screen? For what you pay for this model you'd think they would include a printed copy of the full instruction manual. If not for that it would probably get 5 stars, till then, I'm gonna stick with 3

The range looks great and the regular range features and settings work as they should. The scan to cook feature in the app is a joke. I scanned a pizza and it just told me how to cook the pizza so I didn't have to read the box. The only difference was that I could start the oven from my phone and start the timer from my phone. (Big Deal! NOT) The frozen pizza setting is also a joke. Whoever thought that you didn't need to pre-heat 5.6 cubic feet of space before you bake something? I made another pizza using this option and the oven wasn't up to the set temp before the time went off. The timer chime needs to be A LOT louder. If you have any other noise in your house, you most likely won't hear the chime when it is done. I haven't tried the air fryer yet, but everything I read about that feature points to this not being as good as a counter-top air fryer because of the design. Making a pizza the way I did with my old oven works great in this oven and I do like getting a notification on my phone when the timer is done since I don't always hear it in the next room. The GE Marketing department needs to calm down on the hype of the gimmicks that this range has.

So far we love it even though it's only been a few weeks. Wifi Set up was easy and smooth with the Smart HQ app. The range looks great in our kitchen it does everything we need it to do. Only complaint is air frying isn't as good as a countertop airfryer. This is our 2nd range (two different manufacturers) that air frying isn't great in so It might just be how it goes or maybe it's operator error.

Not sure if it came with all the parts for LP but we could not find it after the "Installers" came out a day early with only a minor in the house. Glad to have strangers in my house while our 17yo was home. They did not install it like the contract stated, did not take the old range and lied about it on their paperwork and signed my wife's name. We were out of town. Handle was installed upside down and the door needs to be disassembled to fix it. Very disappointed for a happy time for our household getting a new range.

The chief connect feature is awesome as it sync's with the GE over range microwave. The only issue though I have to say is when she turn on the right large burner the over the range microwave doesn't turn on the light and fan like the other knobs does. Defective Range, Multiple Issues!!

Brand new, beautiful range, and multiple issues: 1. Defective spark control module with center burner sparking throughout the use of ANY other burner, CONTINUOUSLY! The sound of that crackling is irritating enough, but watching the center burner just sparking for 20, 30, 40 minutes (as long as any other burner is in use) is clearly not right. 2. Upper frame on oven door arrived with several deep grooves scratched into it. 3. Only 2 of the 4 gas burner knobs are the correct knobs, meaning they have the ™lite™ setting to turn to in order to ignite their burners. The remaining 2 burner control knobs are simply the same as the ™Oven On Off™ knob: just On or Off. So we are left literally guessing just where to turn those knobs to ignite their burners Horrible experience so far, and I was SO looking forward to this GE gas range! We have been brand loyal to GE with many appliances; this is not the quality we were expecting.

I am in love with my new GE Gas range. It is not only beautiful, but it meets all of my criteria for a great home appliance. I chose the black stainless to match my other kitchen appliances, and it™™s so elegant! I have used most features in these 2 weeks since purchasing, and am very satisfied. The front burners put out a lot of heat and that is just what I wanted. Pasta water boils in a flash! The oven is spacious. The probe thermometer is a feature I am looking forward to using soon. I baked a cake and it was done in the box instructions shortest time. I have roasted chicken and the results were perfect. I slow roasted ribs and then broiled for the final 5 minutes. They were better than if I had grilled outdoors. I have owned many appliances in my life, and always come back to GE. I am no longer willing to take chances on other manufacturers products.

The cooktop covers all one™™s needs. It has an incredible range in size of flames. I also like that the grills are setup so you can slide pots across from one burner to another without lifting. Our old stove seemed so much smaller in the same amount of space. I like that the center burner can be used as a small burner as well as for the grill top, so, essentially this is a five burner stove top. The oven heats up very fast, has great lighting, and I™™m looking forward to using the steam clean function. So far we are very pleased

Came highly recommended. Paid over 2k. Oven did not work. Couldn't connect wifi. Waiting for service. Very disappointed. I hope it's fixed quickly and I get to enjoy the oven for many years. Timer sound may be too low for the older crowd.
