Our washer broke within 3 weeks of using it. The code shown was "do" which according to the manual indicated the door was open. We did the DIY solution but that did not fix the issue.
We contacted the place we purchased it from and a service call was performed. The issue was a connection came loose to the door latch.
This was due to poor workmanship on the build of the washer at the factory. Something I did not expect from buying a Speed Queen.

I purchased this with the matched dryer back in December of 2024. Long story short, that original set was replaced within and a new set ordered on 1/29/25 due to extreme imbalance in both the washer and dry drums. Upon installation of my 2nd set, it was immediately reconized that the washersdoor lock was temperamental. The door needs to be pushed in on the bottom in order to get a good seal to run...otherwise it just clicks over and over again and the load will not start (though the door is locked and you cannot open it). There have been countles times I have had to unplug and plug the machine back in the machine in order to get the lock to release. I have had countless service visits. With one visit the tech called Speed Queen in my presence and had them on speaker as we walked through everything. They had suggested that a new door assembly would be sent out to reair the issue. However, only a door was sent and nothing changed accept it did decrease, slightly, the frequesncy in which this happens. I was in communication with Ferguson, where I purchased it, and my rep told me they were working on getting another full replacement machine. It has been months (Jan-April) with no success. The washer, when it starts correctly, works beautifully on all the cycles I have used. I appreciate the outcomes and stain removal, but I am giving this a 2 star based on reliablility to start and poor customer service.

We do not know how we did not own a Speed Queen sooner. The washer is a beast. All cycles run very smoothly. Very easy to operate. The spin cycle is the most quiet we have heard (or not heard).

There is marks scratches in the drum I sent in photos and was told it was not covered by the warranty. They are apparently covered by a clear coat because the surface is smooth.
Went to the dealer to discuss my options and they had one on display that looked exactly like mine.How do you think that looks like to a prospective customer? If I would've had the chance to look at one before I purchased I most certainly would not have purchased a Speed Queen it looks rinkydink.Shows a lack of Quality.

So fare, about 1 month or so in, I'm very happy with my new Speed Queen. She's sleek and efficient with an easy to use panel. And I love than I can just put my laundry sheets directly into the tub. She's does a great job and I love the 5 year parts and labor warranty too!

I love how fast and customizable this washer is. It really is unlike other front load washing machines out there. This is from a video on YouTube so may not be completely accurate: - [ ] 4 shock absorbers instead of 3 (2 in the back and 1 in the front)
- [ ] 2 ball bearing rings for balancing one in front and one in the back
- [ ] Full stainless steel drum (mold resistant and durability and resistant to detergents and everything building up )
- [ ] Fully serviceable from the front
- [ ] Horizontal tilt instead of a tilted drum
- [ ] Baffles are completely attached and leave no gap between the drum and the baffle so no detergent or water can build up
- [ ] Wash time is set. No sensing.
- [ ] Can add 3 extra rinses if needed
- [ ] Lifetime warranty on inner and outer wash drum (it is stainless steel however)
- [ ] 3 shipping bolts instead of 2. Usually they only have 2 in the back but this has 2 in the back and 1 in the front.
It isn't found in too many stores, but if interested look at their locator of vendors on their website.
I can only think of a few things that aren't huge issues.
If there is a way can make final rinse of fabric softener do after the wash cycle instead of it being the last rinse when it's dispensed
If there is a graph that shows the water usage of each cycle since didn't see on the spin speed graph
A way to add more water to the cycles

We have loved our speed queen wash and dryer since we got it in October. However, yesterday the door lock on the washer stopped latching. Thankfully, It's under warranty and "Two Brothers Appliance" were able to come right out and fix it today. Otherwise, it's been awesome! We do ALOT of laundry!!! So I hope this was just a weird fluke and not a sign of things to come.

Only had for a month now. Too soon for a long term rating, but so far there are several features I like. Washer and dryer both spin very well and smooth.
Cleaning on washer is excellent. Don't think ou can get any better. The washer does not use a lot of water. The loading is smaller than the big LG we had, but I like this better. Wash time is about 30% less so if you want to sort clothes by color or fabric type, it is very convenient.

The only problem I've had was the fill hose inside the machine had the clamp come loose and flooded my floors after just three weeks. The issue was corrected with a service call and have had no other problems. Love this machine!

This is our second front load machine after 22 years with our previous Whirlpool front load machine. The Speed Queen seems to mostly do what it should, but I am disappointed after spending 2.5 times the cost of a normal machine to still have the same noise and vibration issues while attempting to balance loads that we experienced with our old Whirlpool machine. I had hoped that this front load issue would have been improved by now.

Great Washer but the door does not shut very good -- meaning that we have to shut the door very hard, if we don't the light keeps flashing and ringing meaning please shut the door. Then we need to slam it shut harder than I should have to. I think. Then all is good. Maybe that is the way it is designed ot close. I need to stop down to the dealer to find out the correct way to shut the door or if it need adjusting.

These washers are built on the same chassis as those that survive coin op laundromats, college dorms, and the local elementary school. Washes everything that I have put in it, and NO UNBALANCE ERRORS! Quiet too, and heavy. Only full sized front loader with non-porous stainless steel outer tub, so will have way less smell issues than porous plastic

The first problem a code popped up. Unplugged Washing Machine for 5 minutes didn't work unplug Machine overnight worked. Soap dispenser overflowed. Called dealer concerned about high water pressure. Water pressure was at 90 psi manual recommend 20 to 110 psi
Installed water pressure regularly at 40 psi worked. I seem that I know more than your tech people. Very very disappointing start for washing machine that 9s supposed to be the best. I have owned junk in the past. After a very poor start working ok now.

The dispenser drawer drips with 2.2 GPH flow restrictors. The door gasket leaks a bit. Tried calling during the day and the offices were closed. The outfit that does warranty repair "evaluation" charged us $80 and was insulting/threatening and customer blaming. No Bueno.

This is the highest quality home washing machine sold in the USA. It costs twice as much as competitors, but is five times the quality. If your tired of expensive junk with a lot of plastic chrome, designer colors, unreliable functionality, this is the product for you. Made in Wisconsin by probably the largest commercial manufacturer of washing machines and extractors world-wide, you don't have to be an engineer to recognize the quality and superior design. My last Samsung lasted 4 years and could not be repaired under warranty. I had enough! I purchased my unit off the floor because I don't have time to waste. I am not disappointed in the least. The speed and quality of the wash saves me time. The spin cycle sounds like a jet engine winding up. The clothes come out almost dry, which save drying time and energy. I can't a test to the Speed Queen dryer, but the washer is second to none. I also added the extended base which bolts directly to the bottom and is part of the machine. It's not a flimsy stand with a drawer, It's heavy gauge steel. If you want glitzy junk go somewhere else. You want quality that washing clothes and is built to be reliable and last then buy a Speed Queen FF7! Now I'm tempted to acquire the dryer, but I am not sure if the quality and functionality matches the washing machine? Let me know!

Washes clothes well. Quick cycles and lots of cycle options. Door lock mechanism sometimes doesn't work when there are no obstructions. I usually open and shut the door again and it is fine. I bought this for its long-term durability and fixability.

This washer has leaked out the front door and out the soap dispenser from day one. I was willing to live with that. Then 2 months in something went wrong internally and there is a very loud clunking noise with each cycle of the drum. I obviously can't use it like this. What I was not told when I purchased the machine was that SQ has to approve who works on your machine. All of the service companies they sent me were over an hour away. Obviously none of them are going to drive that far. They then told me I could hire a company of my choice, BUT they would only cover $250 AND the company I use has to contact them to order all parts. So, basically I bought a very expensive piece of junk with a joke of a so-called "warranty". I have now been without a washer for a month. I will never purchase another SQ product again.

I love the functionality of this product, however, I had issues with the detergent dispenser running over when water began to enter the dispenser. A rep for Speed Queen finally fixed it by changing a part that reduced the amount of water coming into the machine. When opening and closing the machine, it sounds like you are opening something very uninsulated, tin can ish. Sorry Speed Queen! While the product cleans very well, you definitely need to improve the overall quality of the machine. I paid of the line product and am disappointed.

I've had front loaders for years. My last washer was an extra large capacity, which I loved. My husband bought me this machine and I am disappointed. The load size is smaller thank I am used to, so now I am doing more loads. There is no interior light, so I have resorted to keeping a flashlight next to the washer so I a make sure nothing is left behind. I asked my husband to never purchase without asking me again. ;) All-in-all, its a decent machine, but it lacks what I really need

For our last-ever set of washer/dryer we decided to step up to the top, and buy a Speed Queen pair. The washer: It washes clothes VERY effectively, but it "bangs" in spin. We had a repairman out, and I showed him that in spin, the right-rear shock makes the noise and it it seemingly amplified by the metal cabinet. Our Whirlpool pairs didn't do this. And to make the point, I ran a cycle with almost nothing in it (a couple rags) and it still did it. We run it on the slower spin, and the noise is cut down some.
Hindsight is 20:20, but I would have bought another Whirlpool pair. They aren't perfect either (mold on the seal), but quieter. Doesn't SQ try these things out at the factory???

My clothes come out so much cleaner and with no residue on them. I had a Whirlpool wash machine which I had for just under 5 years. I had to have service once and then within a year I was going to have service on the unit again. I then decided to check in to a Speed Queen. I'm so glad I made a Speed Queen purchase!

I bought a front load Soren Queen 1.5 yrs ago. After using it a while I noticed an odor to all our clothes/linens. I had to pre wash most things because they weren't getting clean. Had the washer looked at and was told nothing was wrong. When I called the company to tell them they told me this washer actually doesn't wash clothes that well and I should sell it and buy a top loader. I was told when I bought the machine it was comparable to the top loader, just used less water. What a joke. Asked Speed Queen if they'd swap it out for a top loader but they wouldn't. False advertising at its best. Because of this I will never buy another speed queen and will definitely tell everyone I know about their shady business practices.
